My Horse Likes You (Eng. My horse likes you ) is the second studio album by the Berlin-based band Bonaparte. It was, alone recorded and produced by frontman of the band, Tobias Jundt and appeared on 4 June 2010 at Staatsakt.

Formation

As with the previous album, Too Much all lyrics of frontman Jundt alone were written, produced and recorded. This served as his home studio. When Song Orangutang Jundt collaborated with musicians from Berlin duo Modeselektor. The album was released on 4 June 2010, in Switzerland it was distributed by Sony Music.

Reviews

By music critics, the album was discussed very mixed, critics soft case in its evaluation in some cases significantly from each other. However, the majority of the critics rated the album mostly positive to neutral.

Kathrin Lang of musicsection.de manifests itself mostly positive about the album and is 4 out of 5 possible points. She writes for the album, that the variety of genres for an original sound and provides the texts from the previous album were mature. The only negative aspect is that the album lacks songs with real hit potential. Finally, it is of the opinion that Bonaparte has remained true to his style, thanks to the texts but still can surprise you.

Tim Brosowski also rated the album in his review for cdstarts.de positive and forgives 7 out of 10. For album he thinks that the songs would be suitable very good especially for live performances. More praise he finds on the subtlety of the texts and how they were integrated into the music.

Laut.de graded the album also mostly positive, but finds more criticisms. Critics Jacob Rondthaler writes, similar to Lang and Brosowski that the album though lacking the real hits, the songs are very well suited for concerts. In addition, he easily complain that the party atmosphere of the album on time can be a bit exhausting. When rating 3 out of 5 stars will be awarded.

Ulf Ayes of motor.de wins the album as well as the positives. In contrast to the previous album, Too Much, it is relevant and rousing, as well as the texts are well written.

Other opinion, however, is Christian Preußler of Plattentests.de. He gives the album 3 out of 10 stars and says that My Horse Likes You is a stupfes album for parties and thus especially the people anspreche, criticized what Bonaparte in their texts. In addition, the production is performed poorly and the lyrics void. Nevertheless, also means Preußler that Bonaparte can continue their success with the album.

The online edition of Computer Bild joins the opinion Preußler and assigns the predicate disappointing. The album was recorded and produced thoughtless and the lyrics are meaningless.

Videos

For single computer in Love music video was released, which show Jundt and parts of his band in the " virtual world" of the computer. The video ends with turned Jundts head in a screen.

For the series recorders of the weekly Die Zeit also a video for the single My Horse Likes You, in which Jundt was occurring with a record player and an acoustic guitar on a horse farm.
