My restaurant is a reality game show, which is broadcast by private television VOX.

The show is based on the multiple times by now internationally adapted Australian broadcast My Restaurant Rules, which was first produced in 2004 and broadcast by Seven Network.

In my restaurant five pairs come from five cities ( in the 2008 Season Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich) against each other. Each of the pair tries to successfully implement a self-developed restaurant concept. At the beginning of the series gets assigned to each of the pairs a run-down gastronomic object that they need to expand within eight weeks into a functioning restaurant under the same conditions.

The evaluations of a jury - consisting of the chef Tim maltsters, hotel manager Eva- Miriam Gerstner and restaurateurs Christoph Strenger - can obtain additional capital for the construction of the operation, the couples. To this end, the concept and business plan will be presented by the candidate in two rounds.

Even before the opening a test meal with a jury, as well as a sneak preview for families and friends of the couple will be held in all cities. With the official opening then begin the regular restaurant operations and the nomination phase.

Every two weeks, two of the five restaurants nominated by the transmitter, and in each following week, one of them is voted out by the viewers voting by phone. The restaurant in question must be vacated within 15 minutes, the operator must return the keys and are thus eliminated from the program. The restaurant is owned by the production company.

Winner of the game show, and thus also of the on-site restaurants, the operator pair, which remains as the last in the game.

First Season

In the first season in 2008 following teams were lined up:

In the broadcast of 14 November 2008, the restaurant in Leipzig was eliminated with a minimal difference from Munich, on 28 November 2008, the restaurant in Berlin. The final disputed Munich and Hamburg, Cologne Restaurant also different from.

In the final on 19 December 2008, the restaurant in Munich decided the victory. The two candidates may thus retain their restaurant. The restaurant in Hamburg had to close.
