My Secret Identity

Ultraman - My Secret (Original Title: My Secret Identity ) is a Canadian sitcom with science fiction elements that was filmed from 1988 to 1991.

Action

The series revolves around the 14 -year-old Andrew Clements, who will one day accidentally hit by a photon beam, which his best friend, Dr. Benjamin Marion Jeffcoat caused. Initially, Andrew feels only slightly dazed and just goes home. There he quickly noticed that he has developed through the beam superpowers. Andrew, himself an ardent fan of superheroes of all kinds is very excited and wants to make known the whole public. Dr. Jeffcoat, try their best to avoid attention, but convinced him to keep his abilities secret.

In general, the individual episodes are structured so that after a quiet start phase of a problem, which is solved with the help of his powers, at the end of Andrew. With regard to the young target group, care was taken in designing the storylines on an educational effect ( for example, by raising awareness of crime).

The storylines are built in a youthful environment with there typical problem areas ( lovesickness, work pressure, bullying, etc.).

Overall, Andrew has the following four forces:

• Superhuman Speed: He can move almost any speed without falling even out of breath.
• Invulnerability: On him expended rounds rebounds. A disadvantage of this capability is that intentional injury (eg a vaccine ) is not possible.
• Fly: At first this ability is introduced as gravity, so he initially has always sprays to control it. After he gets hit in the fourth episode of the second season for a second time by the photon beam, he can control his flight without aids.
• Superhuman Strength: By the second photon irradiation Andrew is also the most powerful people in the world.

In Germany, the series was broadcast by RTL Plus. There they ran from November 21, 1989 initially on Tuesdays by 16 clock.
