My Whole World Ended is an album by David Ruffin
My Whole World Ended was David Ruffin first album after leaving the Temptations and was recorded between July 1968 and April 1969. For well-known producers such as Harvey Fuqua, Johnny Bristol and Ivy Jo Hunter were placed at his side.
Ironically, the title song was originally to be sung by the Temptations with Dennis Edwards Ruffins successor. However, this had no time, which is why the song went to Ruffin.
My Whole World Ended is musically clearly identifiable as Motown album. Ruffin, one of the voices of Motown in the 1960s, follows on seamlessly from his recordings as Temptations singer.
