Mylohyoid muscle

The mylohyoid muscle (Latin for " pine hyoid muscle ") is a skeletal muscle of the head and arises from the mylohyoid line, a delicate bony ridge on the inside of the lower jaw. He sits on the hyoid bone ( hyoid ) and a hyoid bone to the running of the mental spine raphe.

The muscle is the opening of the mandible as well as the elevation of the hyoid bone. The muscle is also referred to as a diaphragm of the lower jaw. The innervation via the vagus mylohyoideus.
