Myoglobinuria

As myoglobinuria excretion of myoglobin in the urine is called.

The reasons are all disease processes or injuries anderwertigen of striated and cardiac muscle, leading to increased myoglobin levels in the blood ( myoglobinaemia ). Due to its low molecular mass of 17,100 daltons myoglobin is rapidly excreted through the kidneys and therefore represents a very sensitive parameter of a myoglobinaemia

In connection with a marked myoglobinuria as in crush syndrome, acute renal failure (crush kidney) occur. Conversely, it is faster especially at an advanced stage renal disease increased Serummyoglobinkonzentrationen.

Special forms are idiopathic paroxysmal myoglobinuria and the paralytic myoglobinuria ( Haffkrankheit ) dar.
