Myrtle McAteer

Myrtle McAteer ( born June 12, 1878 in Pittsburgh, † October 26, 1952 in Los Angeles ) was an American tennis player around 1900.

Career

In the U.S. Tennis Championships (now the U.S. Open ), she won the 1900 title in women's singles, as she her fellow countrywoman Edith Parker 6:2, 6:2 and 6:0 defeated in the final. In 1901, they lost the final Elisabeth Moore with 4:6, 6:3, 5:7, 6:2, 2:6. Also in double she was successful in the U.S. Tennis Championships. She won in 1899 ( with Jane Craven ) and 1901 ( with Juliette Atkinson ) and stood 1900 in the final.
