History

Mysterious Art was founded in 1988 by producer Mike Staab and musicians from the Rhine- Main area.

The debut single Das Omen - Part 1 managed mid-1989 at number one in the German charts and stayed there for nine weeks. The group performed live as the opening act for Madonna's Blonde Ambition tour. Stylistically, they were assigned to the synth pop.

Their second single Carma - Omen 2 made ​​it to number 9 in the German charts and stayed there for three weeks. It was followed by the album Omen - The Story.

In 1991, the band released their second and final album, Mystic Mountains.

Afterlife

Mike Staab published in 1994 some productions with other cast members under the name Magic Affair and was successful throughout Europe and beyond. The name of the first single Omen III and the band's name, which appeared on the album cover only as "MA", drew on and the Mysterious Art Omen singles.

Michael Krautter lives in Canada and works as a producer for music and film.

Tillmann Uhrmacher was with his radio show MaxiMal, appearances at Nature One and other festivals a famous German DJ. He also published some remixes and original pieces. He had for some time held the record for continuously moderating when he durchmoderierte 80 hours in 1994 on radio station RPR1.
