N- ERGY is an energy company headquartered in Nuremberg.
History
The joint stock company N- ERGY was founded on 30 March 2000 by the Municipal Werke Nürnberg GmbH with 60.2 % of the shares and the power supply network Thüga with 39.8 % of the shares. It emerged means Franconian natural gas GmbH from a fusion of regional companies EWAG energy and water supply corporation, Franconian Überlandwerk AG ( FÜW ) and MEG.
Company Profile
The private network area, which extends over much of Central Franconia as well as parts of Lower Franconia, Bavaria, Swabia and the Upper Palatinate, approximately 650,000 customers are supplied with electricity, gas, water and district heating. There are also numerous corporate clients in the federal territory, over the now more than a third of the current turnover is erwirtschaft.
The N- ERGY operates a modern combined-cycle cogeneration plant with an annual electricity production of about 940 GWh in the Nuremberg district Sandreuth. The CHP plant feeds the power generated on the 110- kV high-voltage level in the distribution of N- ERGY Netz GmbH. At the same time about a quarter of the Nuremberg households are supplied with district heating with the heating plant.
In the city of Nuremberg and the region, the N- ERGY committed green, sporting and cultural. These include the CO2 reduction program, sponsorship of events such as the Blue Night and the support of the triathlon competition Quelle Challenge and the 1st FC Nuremberg.

Clevergy GmbH & Co. KG
The Clevergy GmbH & Co. KG, based in Leipzig was founded in early 2008 by the Stadtwerke Hannover AG and N- ERGY. Both are involved, each with 50 %. The energy company offers over the internet almost nationwide electricity tariffs, which can be customized according to the modular principle. Since 2013, the Clevergy GmbH & Co. KG is one bright spot SE.
Community Irsching GmbH
To expand its own electricity production, the N- ERGY involved together with E.ON power plants, Mainova and the HSE Südhessische Energy Ltd. in the Community Irsching GmbH. The foundation stone for the combined cycle power plant was laid in late 2007. The power plant has been in operation since early 2010.
ImpleaPlus GmbH
The impleaPlus GmbH was founded in 2002 by renaming of the FSG Franconian Service mbH forth. The shares hold 74.9% of the N- ERGY and 25.1% of the wbg Nürnberg GmbH real estate companies. In the society the business contracting, facility management, energy and environmental management, metering services as well as architecture and fleet services are marketed. In the company of around 400 employees are employed.
ItecPlus GmbH
The itecPlus GmbH as a wholly-owned holding with a registered capital of 4.05 million euro deals with the planning, deployment and operation of information and telecommunications systems.
N- ERGY Netz GmbH
The N- ERGY Netz GmbH was founded in October 2006 as a 100 percent subsidiary of N- ERGY. The electricity and gas network of the N- ERGY is leased to the Company, for the water and takes over the district heating network, the N- ERGY Netz GmbH operational management. Currently employed by the company has about 350 employees.

Syneco GmbH & Co. KG operates as a trading center for the marketing, procurement and hedging of electricity and gas portfolios including all relevant energy-related products. The N- ERGY is involved in the company with 12.1%.
