N M Rothschild & Sons

The N M Rothschild and Sons and N.M. Rothschild & Sons is an international investment bank based in London. It is named after its founder Nathan Mayer Rothschild. She was a leading member in acquisitions and reunion grants in the UK and Europe.

History

The company was founded by the Rothschild family in 1811 in London.

In 1950, the bank needed a new headquarters and established a lack of alternatives according to the old building demolition at New Court in St Swithin 's Lane of an office building with steel and glass façade. Furthermore crowded, the Bank commissioned in 2005 the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and to build his Office for Metropolitan Architecture ( OMA), a skyscraper on the previously used land. This is used by Rothschild since early 2012.

Today, the Bank is a global company with 49 offices in 34 countries.

Pre-tax profit at 31 March 2007 amounted to £ 80 million.
