Na Khu District

Amphoe Na Khu ( Thai: อำเภอ นา คู ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Kalasin. The Kalasin Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

The neighboring districts are starting clockwise from south: Amphoe Khao Wong, Kuchinarai and Huai Phung in the province of Kalasin, Amphoe Phu Phan and the Tao Ngoi the province of Sakon Nakhon and Amphoe Dong Luang of Mukdahan province.

History

Na Khu was on 1 April 1995 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by being separated from Amphoe Khao Wong ..

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

Amphoe Na Khu is in five communities ( tambon) divided which in turn consist of 54 villages ( Muban ).

There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Na Khu ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา คู ) consists of parts of the tambon Na Khu,
  • Non Na Chan ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน นา จาน ) consists of the whole tambon Non Na Chan,
  • Phu Laen Chang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ภู แล่น ช้าง ) consists of the whole tambon Phu Laen Chang.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
