Na Mom District

Amphoe Na Mom ( Thai: อำเภอ นา หม่อม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Songkhla. The Songkhla province is located in the southern region of Thailand on the coast to the Gulf of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts and areas (from north clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Songkhla which, Chana and Hat Yai. All Amphoe located in the province of Songkhla.

History

Well, Mom was initially a Tambon Thung Phra named Khian ( ทุ่ง พระ เคียน ) of the circle Hat Yai. In 1943 it was renamed in Na Mom. On 3 April 1981 Na Mom was upgraded along with three other Tambon from Hat Yai to the sub-district ( King Amphoe ). On 4 July 1994 Na Mom then got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Na Mom is divided into four subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 29 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
