Na Tan District

Amphoe Na Tan ( Thai: อำเภอ นา ตาล ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northeastern province of Ubon Ratchathani. The Ubon Ratchathani Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Pho Sai and the Khemarat in the province of Ubon Ratchathani. To the east is on the other bank of the Mekong, Salavan Province of Laos.

The main river of the district is the Mekong River.

History

Na Tan was born on April 30, 1994 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by its territory was separated from Amphoe Khemarat.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Administrative units

Amphoe Na Tan is divided into four communities ( tambon), which in turn in 64 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also four administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
