Na Thom District
Amphoe Na Thom ( Thai: อำเภอ นา ทม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Nakhon Phanom. The Nakhon Phanom Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
Nakhon Phanom is located at the extreme north-eastern border of Thailand on the border with Laos on the banks of the Mekong.
Neighboring districts ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Ban Phaeng and the Si Songkhram province Nakhon Phanom, Amphoe Akat Amnuai in the province of Sakon Nakhon and Amphoe Seka and Bueng Khong Long in Nong Khai province.
History
Na Thom was on 1 April 1992 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by three tambon were separated from Amphoe Ban Phaeng. On October 11, 1997 Na Thom has been promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Na Thom is in three communities ( tambon) divided, further in 35 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
