Na Wang District

Amphoe Na Wang ( Thai: อำเภอ นา วัง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province Nongbua Lamphu. The Nongbua Lamphu province lies in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Na the sound and Si Bun Rueang in the province Nongbua Lamphu and Amphoe Erawan and Na Duang of Loei province.

History

Amphoe Na Wang was 30 April 1994 at first ALWS a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by five Tambon from Amphoe Na sound were separated. On October 11, 1997 Na Wang got his full Amphoe status.

Culture and sights

  • The Erawan Cave ( Tham Erawan, in Thai: ถ้ำ เอราวัณ ) - originally named after the neighboring district Erawan Loei province.

Management

Amphoe Na Wang is divided into five subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 51 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Na Lao ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา เหล่า ) is the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Na Lao and Thep Khiri.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
