Na Yai Am District

Amphoe Na Yai Am ( Thai: อำเภอ นา ยาย อาม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Chanthaburi. The Chanthaburi province is located in the eastern region of central Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe (clockwise from the west ): Amphoe Klaeng in Rayong province and Amphoe Kaeng Hang Maeo and Tha Mai Chanthaburi province. To the southwest lies the Gulf of Thailand.

History

Amphoe Na Yai Am was established on 1 April 1992 by the five Western Tambon of Amphoe Tha Mai were separated. On 5 December 1996 Na Yai Am got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Makham is divided into six subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 67 villages ( Muban ).

Na Yai Am ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา ยาย อาม ) is the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of the whole tambon " " Na Yai Am.

In addition, there are six Tambon Administration Organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
