NAALE Program

The NAALE Elite Academy ( Heb. נעל"ה ) is a program that is supported by the Israeli government and the Sochnut ( Jewish Agency for Israel). It enables Jewish youth from the Diaspora, drop the high school degree ( Abitur) in Israel. Since beginning of this work have more than 10,000 teenagers who entered the country without their parents to Israel, participated in the program.

The word " NAALE " is a Hebrew short form for "Young immigrate from their parents " (Hebrew: נוער עולה לפני ההורים ).

General Information

During the years 1992-1993 the Ministry of Education began with the support of the Israeli government in order to introduce the NAALE program. The main reason for this were numerous petitions of Jewish parents from the Commonwealth of Independent States, which asked the Government of Israel about letting their children study there.

The Israeli government decided in the next two years, 1994-1995, the responsibility for this program at the Sochnut and Aliyat ha - Noar forward

The end of 1995, only a few days before his death, Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin put the responsibility back to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education.

Thereafter, the program was continued through the initiative of the Minister of Education launched Association of Promotion of Education in Israel.

The line of NAALE consists of the following departments: Education, Department for communication with foreign countries (Russia, Western Europe, Latin America, France, English-speaking countries ), Medical Department, Administration, and a department that is responsible for the integration of pupils.

The line of NAALE is responsible for the uptake of students and supports the schools, the students and their parents. The displays and advertising to attract new students is conducted by the Sochnut agents. In addition, the Sochnut is responsible for the preparation of young people for their first Israel - stay, the arrival procedures and communication with the family of the young people in their home country.
