NACA-Score

The NACA scheme is a so-called scoring system for the severity of injury, illness or poisoning in the ( emergency ) to describe medicine. It was originally developed by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics in terms of accidents in aviation.

The NACA scheme is divided into the following, designated by Roman numerals and the zero categories:

In emergency services usually apply Reviews from NACA III, the latest from NACA IV, as emergency medical indication. In Switzerland, the ratings apply NACA III and IV for a possible emergency squad not going anywhere, because the qualified paramedic HF partially have more skills. Specifically contemplated application of drugs and endotracheal intubation include some rescue services on cessation of the qualified paramedic HF. When emergency services with an established emergency medical system (eg, in the city of Zurich ) but only a selection of drugs for paramedic HF is released. In addition, the endotracheal intubation there is the sole competence of the emergency physician.
