Nackawic

Nackawick ( Town of Nackawic ) is a town in New Brunswick, Canada, York County ( New Brunswick). The town has 1,049 inhabitants and is located about 65 km from the capital Fredericton removed at Saint John River.

Economy

Main employer is the paper mill, which was acquired by the Indian Aditya Birla Group in January 2006 under the name of AV Nackawic.

History and Sights

The first settlement of the region took place in 1784, the official survey of the city then 1976.

The place is also home to the largest ax in the world.
