Nacozari de García, also briefly Nacozari, is a city in the west of the Mexican state of Sonora. The city lies on a river southwest of Cananea on about 1100 meters above sea level and is the administrative center of the homonymous municipality Nacozari de García. Nacozari de García had in the year 2000 11.193 inhabitants, in the year 2010 11.489 inhabitants were counted.

The mining town of Nacozari de García was founded in 1660 as Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Nacozari and in honor of Jesús García Corona, who saved the city in 1907 before a catastrophic explosion, but it crashed even renamed.
