Nadi, Fiji

Division

Nadi (pronounced [ na.ndi ] ) is the fifth largest city of Fiji. At the last census in 2007 11.685 inhabitants were counted; in the region to live another 30 599 people. The Nadis population consists largely of immigrants from India.

Economy and Transport

In Nadi is the larger of the two international airports of Fiji, which is why the tourism for the city plays an important role. The Fiji Meteorological Service operates in Nadi competent for the southern Pacific Ocean Regional Specialized Meteorological Centre.

In around Nadi are large sugar cane fields.
