Nafnaþulur

Þulur ( Old Norse, singular Thula to German " word order " ) are Watch series, or word lists poetic paraphrases (synonyms ) in the form of the adjectival Heiti, which served as a tool by the first oral transmission poetological knowledge. In the name Þulur material is rezipiert from the corpus of location names ( toponyms ) and mythical contexts. This literary technique is found preferentially in the poetry of the Poetic Edda.
