Nagano Olympic Commemorative Marathon

The Nagano Marathon (Japanese長野 オリンピック 記念 長野 マラソン, Nagano Nagano Orimpikku Kinen Marason; German " Nagano Marathon in memory of the Olympic Games in Nagano ") is a marathon in Nagano in memory of Since 1999 in April 1998 Winter Olympics takes place. In contrast to most other known Japanese marathons he is not a pure elite races, but also is open to amateur runners. The track is a pretty shallow point - to-point course through the city, passing by the Zenko Temple and ends at the Olympic Stadium.

2011, the run was canceled due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. The attendance fees were donated to the earthquake and tsunami victims.
