The Nagoya (Japanese名古屋 飞行 场Nagoya Hikōjō ) Airport is an airport located in the municipality of Toyoyama, Komaki, Kasugai and Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Before the opening of Central Japan International Airport, he was of great importance for the region Nagoya. He has the IATA airport code NKM and the ICAO airport code RJNA. It is operated by the Aichi Prefecture.

History

Objectives

Transport links

The airport can be ( in Kitanagoya ) or from Kachigawa JR Station reached ( in Kasugai ) with buses from Nishiharu Meitetsu Station. There is also a direct bus from Nagoya Station.

There were many years plans to connect the airport with a short new route to Ajiyoshi Meitetsu Station ( in Kasugai ) to the Meitetsu railway network ( Komaki - line), but this was abandoned after the opening of Centrair 2005.
