Nagyatád
Nagyatád is a Hungarian town on the river Rinya and is 60 km south of Lake Balaton in Somogy county on the main road 68 ( E661 ). It consists of six districts Kisatád, Bodvica, Kivadár, Henész, Simongát and Atad.
History
The village was first mentioned in 1190. The name comes from the Turkish word Ata together (father) and the Hungarian word nagy (large). Since 1971 is Nagyatád city.
Attractions
The town has a famous spa, a town museum, and an artist space. Every year is organizing a major triathlon event.
