Nahed Taher

Nahed Taher (* 20th century in Saudi Arabia) is the founder and CEO of Gulf Investment Bank, which has its principal office in Bahrain. In 2006, she was ranked by the magazine Forbes ranked 72 of the most powerful women in the world.

Life

Taher studied at the King Abdulazis University, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Business and Economics. She continued her studies at Lancaster University, where she received in Economics in 1998 and her MSc in 2001 her PhD. Subsequently, she returned to Saudi Arabia and worked as an economist for the National Commercial Bank. In 2005 she became CEO of Gulf One Investment Bank. She is the first woman to head a bank in the Gulf region.
