Naim Qassem

Naim Kassim (Arabic نعيم قاسم, DMG Na ʿ in the Qāsim; * 1953 in Kafr Fila in Lebanon, also known as the English spelling Naim Qassem ) is the radical Islamic Lebanese Hezbollah organization since 1991 Deputy Secretary-General.

Life

Kassim came in 1953 in Kafr Fila in the region Nabataea in southern Lebanon to the world and began in 1970 to study chemistry and the French language at the Faculty of Education, Lebanese University ( Université Libanaise ), from which he graduated with a master's. Besides his studies, he devoted himself to religious studies. In the field of Shiite spiritual studies ( Hausa studies) he reached the highest level. After his studies, he taught for several years in secondary chemistry.

He was involved in the founding of the Lebanese Federation of Muslim Students ( الاتحاد اللبناني للطلبة المسلمين ) and worked for the emergence of the " movement of the excluded " ( Harakat al - حركة المحرومين mahrūmīn ), which later became the Amal militia emerged, with Musa al-Sadr together. Kassim was also involved in the founding of Hezbollah in 1982 during the Lebanese civil war and took over in 1991, the Office of the Deputy Secretary-General.

Kassim is married and has six children ( four sons, two daughters ).
