Najd

The Najd ( Nejd also; Arab نجد, DMG naǧd, Highland ', . Engl Nejd or Najd ) is a landscape inside Saudi Arabia.

Geography

The landscape includes 1.1 million km ², and is located in the center of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bounded to the west by the Hejaz, north of the Nefud desert, east of al - Hasa in the south of the Rub al Khali desert. Because of the desert climate, the country is habitable only in the existing oases. A total of four million people live in this region.

In the southern Najd is Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

History
