Najib Effendi al-Yasin

Najib Al- Yasin Effendi was mayor of Haifa during the Ottoman Empire from 1873 to 1877. Najib Effendi was noble Ottoman origin. The trained lawyer is one of the oldest known mayor of Haifa.

Najib Effendi served the Ottoman Empire for a long time. One of the most notable badge of honor, which he received the Medal of Honor, the distinguished him the German Emperor Wilhelm II during his visit to Haifa on 25 October 1898.
