Nakagawa (Nagano)
Nakagawa ( Japanese:中 川村, -mura ) is a village in kamiina -gun in Nagano Prefecture on the main Japanese island of Honshu.
Geography
Nakagawa is the southernmost municipality of kamiina -gun and is in the Ina Basin on the River Tenryu. At 77.05 km ² 5,343 people ( as of March 1, 2010). Nakagawa lies at the foot of the Akaishi Mountains. Neighboring municipalities are the big city ( shi) Komagane, the towns ( machi ) Iijima ( kamiina -gun ) and Matsukawa ( Shimoina -gun ) and the village of Oshika ( Shimoina -gun ).
History
Nakagawa was established on August 1, 1958 by merging the two villages Katakiri and Namikai. Since 7 October 2008, Nakagawa member of the Association of the " most beautiful villages in Japan" ( " Nihon de Mottomo utsukushii mura " rengō ).
Traffic
Nakagawa is connected via the station Ina- Tajima at the Iida Line of JR Central.
As a trunk road, the National Road 153 by Nakagawa.
