Nakhun Yai
Nakhun Yai (also: Nakun Yai, Nakoon Yai, Thai: นา คูณ ใหญ่ ) is a commune ( tambon) in Northeast Thailand ( Isaan ), province ( Changwat ) Nakhon Phanom, managed by the district office Amphoe Na Wa with about 4565 inhabitants ( 2005).
Nakhun Yai is located about 900 kilometers north of Bangkok. The village's economy underperformed by seasonal agriculture; there exists strong rural exodus to urban centers or in the tourist areas.
Geography
Adjacent tambon Phon are Suang of Amphoe Si Songkhram in the North and East as well as Na Wa in the south and west.
History
Nakhun Yai was established on 1 May 1978 by five villages of Na Wa were separated.
