Nam Nao National Park

The Nam Nao National Park ( Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ น้ำ หนาว ) is a national park in the province of Phetchabun in northern Thailand.

History

The National Park Mae Ping was declared on May 4, 1972 5th National Park in Thailand.

Geography

The park has an area of 966 km ² ( 603.750 Rai ) and is located at an intersection with the provinces of Chaiyaphum, Phetchabun and Loei. With an annual average temperature of 25 ° C during the day, the climate is very pleasant.

The highest mountain with 1271 meters in the park is the Phu Phajit.

Maenam Maenam Phong and Loei are tributaries of the Mekong, the Pasak opens in Ayutthaya in the Chao Phraya River.

Flora and Fauna

Flora

The flora in the hilly to mountainous forest is diverse. One of the most famous places is the Phu Kum Khao pine forest, it consists of Khasi pine (Pinus kesiya ), another famous pine forest of Suan Son Dong peak it consists of both (Pinus merkusii ) or Sumatra pines and Khasi pines, next you will also find dipterocarp forest, monsoon forest. Fauna
