Nam Pat District

Amphoe Nam Pat ( Thai อำเภอ น้ำปาด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Uttaradit. The Uttaradit Province is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Chat Trakan the Province Phitsanulok and Thong Saen Khan, Tha Pla and Fak Tha Province Uttaradit. To the east is the Laotian province Sayaburi.

Economy

In the district of Nam Pat hand-woven cotton fabrics are produced. These cotton fabrics with traditional patterns are five-star OTOP products.

History

Originally, the district bore the name of its main Tambon Saen To. Only in 1932 it was renamed in Nam Pat.

Attractions

  • National Parks: Khlong Tron National Park ( Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ คลอง ตรอน ) - 518 km ² large park, which mainly consists of virgin jungle. The highest peak is Doi Phu Miang ( ยอด ดอย ภู เมี่ยง ) with an altitude of 1656 meters. Then there are the numerous waterfalls, such as the three Huai Kom Waterfalls ( น้ำตก ห้วย คอม ) A cluster of three cases with a total drop of 20 meters, or the Waterfall Huai Sai ( น้ำตก ห้วย ทราย ) with a height of 35 meters. In the mountains also two caves can be visited.

Management

The circle is divided into six subdistricts (tambon ), which are divided further into 45 villages ( Muban ).

Nam Pat ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล น้ำปาด ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district.

In addition, there are six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
