Namibia Football Association

The Namibia Football Association (NFA ) is the governing body of the sport in Namibia.

The Namibian Football Association was founded in 1990 by the then President Ben Naobeb and has its seat in the Richard Kamuhuka -Str. in Windhoek - Katutura. He is the FIFA and CAF joined in 1992 and is a member of the Council of Southern African Football Associations.

Namibia competed - not successfully - with the support of, among others, the NFA and celebrities like Frank Fredericks to host the African Cup of Nations in 2010 and 2012.

The association delegates irregular, mainly due to financial constraints, club teams to the club competitions of the CAF.
