Namibian Sun

The Namibian Sun (also Daily Sun ) is a daily newspaper published in Windhoek. It is the only tabloid newspaper in the country and appears as the Allgemeine Zeitung and Die Republikein at Democratic Media Holdings. She was between 15 October 2010 and 26 March 2011, the only daily newspaper in the country, which appeared Saturdays.

Until 15 October 2010, the newspaper was published as a weekly on Thursdays only. Since then she has appeared on current issues limited from Monday to Friday, on Saturday appeared the main edition. The main output ( Namibian Sun ) and daily expenses (Daily Sun ) differed in their layout and structure. By appointment of the new Chief Editor January Poolman the publication on 26 March 2011 were limited to Monday to Friday; the Saturday edition is eliminated and its content incorporated in the Friday edition.

Target group and support

With a circulation of 36,000 copies, it is one of the most widely distributed newspaper in the country. The target group are young readers between 18 and 40 years that are primarily interested in for Boulevard topics. Striking is the occupied almost exclusively with colorful photos front page.
