Namkeen (Hindi: नमकीन, namkin ) is an Indian film directed by Gulzar Singh Sampooran from 1982 He was born on a story by Samaresh Basu. .

Action

Namkeen tells the story of three unmarried sisters and their old mother. The eldest daughter is Nimki, followed by Mitthu that is dumb. Chinki is the youngest daughter. They all live with their mother Jugni in an old house outside of the village. However, your father Dhaniram does not live with them.

The truck driver Gerulal lives as a tenant in her home. After some time he sees the problems and difficulties faced by the three sisters, and this only because they are women. He admired her; in particular, he is interested in Nimki. At the same time Mitthu has already fallen in love with Gerulal.

Since his duty as a driver calls, Gerulal one day must go on. Previously, he confesses his feelings towards her Nimki and also holds for her hand. Nimki rejects his marriage proposal because she wants to take care of their family.

As Gerulal from their lives disappears, commits suicide Mitthu. Her mother died due to their disease. Dhaniram persuaded Chinki to come with him, although Nimki is against it. Now Nimki alone. Only when Gerulal learns of her solitude, he returns again and marries her. Then he takes her away with him.
