Nampa is a city in Canyon County in the U.S. state of Idaho. With 81 557 inhabitants ( 2010 census ), it is to Boise the second largest city in the state. Nampa is located 41 km west of Boise in the Snake River Plain to Interstate 84

History

Nampa began as a small Eisenbahnort in the early 1880s, it was established in 1886. Very quickly it became an important railroad town.
