NamPost

Namibia Post Limited ( common is the short name NamPost ) is a Namibian corporation and national postal company in the country. It is as part of the Namibia Post and Telecommunications Holdings completely state-owned.

In February 2010 NamPost took together with its partners DHL Global Mail and DHL Express Namibia (both subsidiary companies of DHL), the latest letter distribution center in Africa in operation. It is the junction for any post in and from Southern Africa.

Divisions

The NamPost is divided into the business segments

  • Postal services Philately: The Philately takes in NamPost an important position. International have been able to win numerous awards Namibian stamps.
  • Mail: letters and packages will not be held in Namibia, but must be picked up by distribution stations that are set up throughout the country. It is possible to pay a P. O. Box ( PO Box) or even the larger Private Bag (Private mail bag ) are available for hire. Mail and parcel post to these mailboxes is numeric, not by name, addressed.
  • Post offices and postal agencies; 130 post offices and agencies in 2010
  • Courier services; 60 Overnight destinations in Namibia ( 2008)
  • Investments
  • Postbank ( NamPost Savings Bank and Treasury ); with limited options (including no credit )
  • Share trading ( NamPost Financial Brokers; PostFin )
