Namsan (Gyeongju)

Namsan ( 남산 ,南山, South Mountain ) is a 494 meter high summit in Gyeongju National Park, just south of Gyeongju (South Korea). He is a popular tourist destination. The Namsam is part of the World Heritage Gyeongju, the ancient capital of Korea.

The Namsan is home to many relics of the Silla period. There you will find some of the royal tombs as well as many wonderful examples of Buddhist art: about 80 stone reliefs, 60 stone pagodas and numerous temples from the period between 700 and 1000 AD.
