Nana-Ula

Nanaulu after surviving in Kumulipo traditional Hawaiian Genealogy is the son of Kii and Hinakoula. A king of this name is called for Tahiti. Nanaulu traveled with his brother Ulu to Hawaii, which one of the colonization waves from Tahiti is referenced.

Genealogy of the great chiefs in Hawaii

Nanaulu settled on Oahu and extended his power from on Kauai and Molokai, Maui, and Hawaii during Ulu dominated. The line (see genealogy) Nanaulus later went on in the family Kamehameha. PAAO replaced the rule of the dynasty Ulus by a high-ranking chief family from Samoa.

The origin of the two brothers - and the chiefs who derive their origin from them - via Papa and Wakea in a direct line to God Kane, one of the most important deities of Hawaii and justified the higher rank ( hoalii ) over other chiefs as well as a special class of related kapu ( na lii kapu akua ).
