Nanchan Temple (Wutai)

The Nanchan Temple (Chinese南禅寺, Pinyin Nanchan sì, English Nanchan Temple ) is a Buddhist temple in the village Lijiazhuang the circle Wutai in Shanxi Province, China. Its main hall from the year 782 is considered one of the oldest wooden structures in the Chinese temple.

The main hall of the temple Nanchan (南禅寺 大殿, Nanchan sì Dadian, English Main Hall of Nanchan Temple ) is since 1961 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 1-79 ).
