Nancy E. Dick

Nancy E. Dick ( born July 22, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan) is a former American politician. Between 1979 and 1987 she was Deputy Governor of the State of Colorado.

Career

Nancy Dick studied at the University of Denver Law. Whether she actually worked as a lawyer, is not known. Politically, she became a member of the Democratic Party. Two legislatures she sat as a Member of the House of Representatives from Colorado.

In 1978, Dick was elected to the side of Richard Lamb Vice Governor of Colorado. This office she held 1979-1987. You was the first woman who had held this office in their state. She was Deputy Governor. In August 1980, she participated as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in New York, on the President Jimmy Carter to be unsuccessful re-election has been nominated. Four years later, she ran for the U.S. Senate, but was defeated by Republican incumbent William L. Armstrong.
