Nancy Lopez

Nancy Lopez ( born January 6, 1957 in Torrance, California) is an American professional golfer.

Lopez began as a young girl to play golf and became the golfer of the decade, after it was elected in 1978 to the freshman of the year. Lopez was out of the LPGA ( Ladies Professional Golf Association ) four times ( 1978-79, 1985 and 1988) appointed for the golfer of the year and was recorded with 30 years in the Hall of Fame. In 2002, Nancy Lopez withdrew from the LPGA, although she occasionally still plays tournaments.

She is the only player who has been appointed in a season (1978 ), both for newcomer of the year, won the award for best player of the year and also won the Vare Trophy. In addition, she was honored with the Athlete of the Year Award from the Associated Press. In 1989, she was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. After she had consecutively won three events, she won in 1998 for the fourth time in her career donated by Rolex Award " Player of the Year." She won the 1998 " USGAS Bob Jones Award" and was inducted into the "Georgia Sports Hall of Fame" in 2001.
