Nanjing Man

As a Nanjing - man (Chinese南京 人or南京 猿人, english Nanjing Man) in March 1993, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, discovered fossil hominin skull with preserved bones of the left side of the face that have been classified as Homo erectus. The finds are located from the Huludong Cave, a karst cave in the Tangshan Mountains, about 26 km east of Nanjing.

The bones were determined by Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry ( TIMS U -Th dating also ), a special method of mass spectrometry, directly dated, on an age 620000-580000 years.
