Nanometrology

The dimensional nanometrology (by:. Ancient Greek νᾶνος [ Nanos ] "dwarf" and Greek: μέτρον métron " degree, diameter " ) is the science and application of measurements of the dimensions of object properties, distances and displacements in the range 1 to 1000 nm with an evolving nanotechnology also creates the need for quality assurance in the nanometer dimension. Metrological methods and techniques are a result of physical economies of scale not easily transferable from the "macro" dimension. The nanometrology is an area of current research.
