Nantes Atlantique Airport is Bouguenais in the French department of Loire -Atlantique, approximately twelve kilometers southwest of the city. The airport is operated by the Chamber of Commerce Nantes. Nantes Atlantique Airport was the first airport in 1997 with quality certificate (ISO 9001) in Europe. Since then, the certification has been constantly renewed and extended. It is open around the clock.

History
Passenger numbers have increased steadily from 1993 to 2007:
To meet the increasing passenger numbers and the importance of the airport for the region, is 20 km northwest of Nantes, the new building project Projet d' aéroport du Grand Ouest in planning. With its opening is expected in 2017.

In addition, the airport serves as a cargo hub for various carriers.
In April 2012, Express opened a base at the airport of Nantes and served among other Munich.
Transport links
There is a regular bus service from the airport to Nantes. In addition, at the airport terminal Taxis are available.
