Napoléon Louis Bonaparte

Napoléon Louis Bonaparte ( born October 11, 1804 in Paris, † March 17 1831 in Forli ) was Grand Duke of Cleves and Berg, King of Holland, son of Louis Bonaparte and Hortense de Beauharnais, and nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Life

At the age of four years Napoléon Louis Bonaparte was employed by his uncle Napoleon by decree of 3 March 1809, Grand Duke of Cleves and Berg. Napoléon Louis participated in 1830 with his younger brother Charles Louis, the future emperor Napoleon III. , In an unsuccessful conspiracy of the Carbonari of Romagna. In 1831 he died at Forli to the measles. He was later buried his father in Saint -Leu- la -Forêt.

The hope of a restoration of the rule by the Bonapartes, he had never given up. This was actually achieved in 1852 by the proclamation of his younger brother Charles Louis Emperor of the French.
