Napoleon points

The two -point Napoleon, named after the French general and emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, are among the marked points in the triangle.

The first Napoleon point is defined as follows:

Three equilateral triangles are drawn to the outside through the pages of a given triangle. Combining the focal points of these triangles with the opposite corners of the original triangle, then the connection lines intersect in one point, the first Napoleon point of the given triangle.

If one draws the equilateral triangles each to the other side, we obtain the corresponding 2 - Napoleon point.

The lines connecting the three focal points always form an equilateral triangle, regardless of the length of the base sides of the Aufsetzdreiecke.

Properties

  • The two -point Napoleon lie on the Kiepert hyperbola.
