Naá¹£ru

Naṣrū was a ruler of Hatra, who ruled from about 128/29 as far as 138 AD. He is known to date of 34 inscriptions from Hatra.

Naṣrū was the son of Našrihab and the father of the subsequent rulers of Hatra Wolgas and Sanaṭrūq I. He carries in his inscriptions the title mry '/ "Lord." Four of his inscriptions bear a date. From one of them (H 272) shows that he Seleucid era (138 AD) built a surrounding wall and a gate for the temple district of Hatra in the month of Iyar in the year 449. The end of his reign is uncertain, since the next datable inscription from Hatra dates only from the year 176/177 AD and is therefore uncertain when his sons took over the power.
