Geography

The town is located 15 km west of Ingolstadt, 9 km north of Neuburg and 13 km south of Eichstätt in Schuttertal on the edge of nature park Altmuhltal.

Neighboring communities

The market town wet rock is adjacent to the county-level city of Ingolstadt, in the district town of Neuburg on the Danube and the town of Bergheim in the district of Neuburg- Schrobenhausen, the communities Egweil, Buxheim, Adelschlag and market Wellheim (all district of Eichstätt ).

History

The place dates back to the founded by the Romans between 80 and 90 AD civilian settlement Vicus Scuttarensis very close to a castle and at the intersection of two trade routes, named after the Roman name of the creek Schutter. Nassenfels sister cities are the city Fladungen in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön - grave field and Comana de Jos in Romania. Every year Fladunger for a week after wet rock where they pitch tents in the yard and next to the neighboring meadow.

Structures

Traffic
